The included sports seat clicks onto the frame in a single step. Its soft, breathable seat pad provides extra support, while the mesh ventilation window in the backrest ensures a comfortable seating environment. The spacious, extendable canopy with UV protection 50+ also features a mesh window—and a fold-out sunshade that provides extra shade when the sun is low in the sky.
When your little explorer gets tired, you can adjust the backrest and footrest continuously all the way to a completely flat reclining position. Your child is optimally secured with the innovative HappyBelt® 5-point belt system: The magnetic buckle and the front-accessible, infinitely adjustable harness make buckling up a breeze, and the extended shoulder straps make it easier for you to place your child in the seat. You can adjust the height-adjustable pushbar to suit either parent with a single hand movement. Since the sports seat can be used up to 22 kg—which is generally until around age four—the Samba 2 will be with you for many years.
Clever design: The parking brake is located directly on the right rear wheel, eliminating the need for a rear axle. This saves weight and space and makes pushing the stroller more comfortable. Calla i-Size Infant Car Seat – Ergonomic Reclining Function for the Car and Stroller
When you’re traveling by car with your newborn, there’s one thing you want to be absolutely sure of: your baby is riding safely, comfortably, and relaxed. From the very first trip home from the hospital—and on every ride after that.
Safe travel even for premature babies as small as 40 cm: From day one, your baby lies protected and comfortable in the Calla i-Size. It’s suitable for babies from 40 to 87 cm (up to a max. of 13 kg, approx. 24 months), so even premature babies can ride safely. The integrated seat insert—which can be removed later—provides extra support for the smallest babies up to 60 cm. Tested to the current highest safety standard, ECE R129 (i-Size), including integrated side-impact protection.
Flat reclining position for healthy sleep: A flat reclining position is considered the optimal sleeping position for babies—the head, spine, and hips are supported in the best possible way, and breathing and oxygen intake are facilitated. With the Calla i-Size, your newborn will be comfortable, ergonomically supported, and safe even in the car.
Seamless transition between car and stroller: The infant car seat can be securely attached to the frame of your ABC Design Stroller—your practical travel system for shopping and short trips. If your baby falls asleep in the car, you can simply transfer them—still in the car seat—to the Stroller without waking them. Since the flat reclining position is maintained on the Stroller frame as well, your baby enjoys consistent comfort while lying down and sleeping.
In the car, the Calla i-Size is installed as a rear-facing car seat. The easiest and safest way to do this is with the rotatable Isofix Root base (optionally available separately); alternatively, you can secure the car seat using your vehicle’s 3-point seat belt. All resting and reclining positions can be adjusted with both options.
