Carrycot with innovative AirFlow ventilation system
The Salsa Pro’s carrycot is the first stroller to feature an integrated ventilation system. With AirFlow, you can specifically improve air circulation inside the carrycot. Stale, CO₂-rich air, which settles at the bottom of the carrycot, is extracted via the ventilation system. A gentle, continuous exchange of air, which you actively control yourself, ensures consistently high air quality, reduces environmental influences inside the carrycot and regulates humidity at the same time. Your baby breathes fresh, oxygen-rich air at all times without being exposed to draughts. This ensures an optimal sleeping environment in summer and winter, and supports your baby’s healthy development.
SeeMe 360° LED floor lighting
When you’re out and about with your baby in the Salsa Pro at dusk or in the dark, the new 360° LED floor lighting ensures you’re clearly visible to others. The all-round light is integrated beneath the carrycot, so you no longer need any additional accessories for the pushchair lighting. The stroller light illuminates both your path and the wheels over a wide area, allowing you to spot obstacles in good time. Greater visibility and safety for you and your baby. With the Salsa 5 Air, you had to use accessories to light up your stroller.
Foldable frame including foldable carrycot
Folding is even easier and more compact with the Salsa Pro. Not only can you fold the frame with the seat attached (in either direction), but now you can also fold it with the carrycot attached. You don’t need to remove any of the attachments from the frame for transport in the car or for space-saving storage. The new folding mechanism for the carrycot is also easier to access, making it a breeze to use. The Salsa 5 Air can only be folded with the seat attached, regardless of the seat’s orientation. With the Salsa 5 Air, the carrycot must be removed from the frame.
Extra sun protection thanks to the two-stage canopy extension
With the Salsa Pro, your baby is even better protected from harmful sunlight. You can extend the UV50+ sun canopy not just once, but in two stages. This makes all the difference, particularly in extreme light conditions - such as the low evening sun or in the completely flat lie-flat position - and provides a large, sheltered area of shade. A sun visor at the front can also be folded up or down as required.
Height-adjustable canopy (3 positions)
The Salsa Pro’s canopy grows in height as your child does, ensuring plenty of headroom and freedom of movement at all times. You can choose from three height settings to suit your child’s height and ensure optimal seating comfort.
Ultimate air-filled wheels
The Salsa Pro features the new Ultimate air-filled wheels. A new rim design, an improved wheel shape and the new tyre tread pattern ensure even smoother running and greater comfort, no matter what surface you’re pushing the stroller on.
Shopping basket without a crossbar
The Salsa Pro’s large shopping basket, which can hold up to 10 kg, is designed without an obstructive crossbar, making it much easier for you to access the basket and allowing you to load even bulky shopping with ease. On the Salsa 5 Air, loading the basket from above was made difficult and restricted by the crossbar.
Ventilated, breathable mesh backrest
On warm summer days, the seating environment is crucial to ensure your child doesn’t get uncomfortably sweaty on their back. The Salsa Pro’s breathable backrest is therefore largely covered with a fine, air-permeable mesh cover. This ensures ideal air circulation and an optimal seating environment. Moisture is effectively wicked away or minimised from the outset. On particularly hot days, you can remove the seat insert so that your child leans directly against the mesh insert. On the Salsa 5 Air, the mesh area was significantly smaller, with just a single mesh window incorporated into the backrest.
One-handed operation when repositioning the seat unit (memory function)
If you want to reposition the seat unit on the Salsa Pro, it’s now even easier and can be done with just one hand. To switch the seat from the direction of travel to the opposite direction, or vice versa, simply press the button on each side of the seat mount briefly once to unlock it. With the Salsa 5 Air, you had to press the release buttons simultaneously, which isn’t possible with just one hand. You’ll love this added convenience in everyday use.
Improved ease of use
The Salsa Pro features a number of innovations for greater ease of use. The handlebar is designed as a single continuous piece, which improves grip comfort. All controls are now colour-coded. The backrest adjustment is more clearly visible, and many functions - such as the footrest adjustment - can now be operated with just one hand. This makes the Salsa Pro much more intuitive to use than the Salsa 5 Air.
