From day one, your baby lies protected and comfortable in the Calla i-Size infant car seat. Even preemies can ride safely in this infant car seat, which is suitable for babies as small as 40 cm up to 87 cm in height (up to a maximum of 13 kg and up to approximately 24 months). The integrated seat insert—which can be removed later—provides extra support and comfort for the smallest passengers up to 60 cm in height. The new ABC Design infant car seat has been tested in accordance with the latest and currently highest safety standard, ECE R129 (i-Size). It therefore also features integrated side-impact protection.
Flat reclining position for maximum comfort
A flat reclining position is considered the optimal sleeping position for babies. The head, spine, and hips are positioned in the best possible way for healthy development, and oxygen intake and breathing are facilitated. With the Calla i-Size, your newborn will be comfortable, ergonomically supported, and safe in the car thanks to the flat reclining position.
Comfortable fabrics and soft, supportive all-around padding enhance your baby’s comfort whether sitting or lying down. The comfort headrest is height-adjustable. You can adjust it individually to fit your child’s height. At the same time, the shoulder straps automatically adjust for optimal comfort and a secure fit. Side ventilation elements ensure pleasant air circulation and thus an optimal climate inside the infant car seat.
Secure attachment in the car and on the Stroller frame
The infant car seat can also be securely attached to the frame of your ABC Design Stroller. This allows you to use it as a practical travel system for running errands or taking short trips with your baby. If your baby falls asleep in the car and you reach your destination, you can easily switch between the car and your Stroller without having to wake your child. Since the Calla i-Size’s flat reclining position can also be used when the car seat is attached to the Stroller frame, your baby enjoys consistently high comfort while lying down and sleeping.
The Calla i-Size infant car seat is installed in the car as a rear-facing seat, i.e., facing away from the direction of travel. For safe and easy installation in the car, use the swiveling Isofix Base Root (optionally available separately). Alternatively, you can secure the infant car seat in the car using your vehicle’s 3-point seat belt. All reclining and sleeping positions can be adjusted with both installation methods.
